Horsepower made easy.

Redline Speed Worx (RSW) is New Jersey Authorized Porsche 991 Turbo Cobb Tuning Dealer.

Engine "tuning" has come a long way in the past few decades. Something that used to take hours, days, weeks, can now be downloaded, installed, and driving within minutes.

Proper calibration of a modern vehicle includes modifying countless tables, maps, values, and other parameters that are too numerous to list. What this means is that to achieve proper mapping you have to either consult a professional tuner, and install some sort of stand-alone engine management solution that costs thousands of dollars and doesn’t function like the factory ECU. Or you need to find a solution that works in conjunction with the stock ecu but gives stand-alone levels of power and adjustability.

Thankfully for the performance aftermarket at-large Cobb Tuning out of Plano Texas has created exactly that piece of equipment in their Accessport hardware and software suite. One of the most time intensive component of adding parts and power to your modern vehicle is actually dialing in the tune.

Luckily with Cobb’s team of software engineers and calibrators there are plug and play options available. It’s as easy plugging the handheld unit into your car, selecting the stage of tune you desire or that is correct for your level of modification, and within minutes your car is running on a calibration that is suited for your exact vehicle.

What you get with the Cobb Accessport for the 991 Turbo:

For a given vehicle, such as the new Porsche 991 Turbo for example, the Accessport comes loaded with maps for 3 different octane levels and 3 different levels of modification, in addition to a stock and valet maps. That’s over 11 different tunes for one vehicle that has only been on the market for a short time. Amazing!

Some will cry, "That’s not a REAL custom tune", and in some ways they are correct. That tune is not made for every individual vehicle but given things like knock sensors, air fuel sensors, boost sensors, Cobb can achieve safe, reliable, consistent power without pushing the envelope. For those that are running non off-the-shelf parts, like high compression pistons, huge turbos, etc, there is always the option of consulting a Cobb Pro Tuner facility where you can have a map custom edited for your specific needs.

After installing all the performance parts on this car the tuning process was as simple as loading the custom map provided on the handheld Accessport and pressing a button. 5 minutes after this photo was taken this car was ripping down the road!

In addition to these tuning benefits and ease of use, the Cobb Accessport also doubles as a diagnostic device. The Access port has the ability to monitor and display values live time along with recording logs to be viewed later once the car is parked, or to be emailed off to your tuner or Cobb themselves for further review.

From Subarus, to Porsches, to BMW’s, Cobb Tuning manages to do a great job offering solutions for all of them.
