RSW 991 Turbo RS1/2 Packages Now Available.
Our Service Team at RSW along with our friends at GMG Racing have always loved modifying the Turbo S, and the 991 is no different. The car is beautiful off the line and has a 3.8tt ready to be unleashed. With the addition of the RSW RS2 Performance Package comprised of GMG WC-GT Exhaust System, GMG 991 Turbo Sport Headers, and GIAC Turbo / Turbo S ECU Tuning, we have given the car that extra kick and satisfaction that it deserves. It’s a very subtle addition, yet will reward you time and time again.
RSW's RS1/2 Performance Packages Start with ECU Tuning specific to the accompanying hardware upgrades.
GIAC Porsche 991 Turbo / Turbo S ECU Tuning
GIAC is proud to release GIAC engine software for 991 Turbo S applications. This OBDII port flashed software packs a punch with peak gains measured at 30 - 40 wheel horsepower and 25 -60 wheel torque. Drivability is designed to be as smooth as stock at idle and part load, but offer a big boost at full load. Software features include added boost, changes to fuel and timing, and higher torque limits. GIAC is the first tuner to offer 991 Turbo software as an OBDII port flash.
Software testing for this product was completed both locally and remotely using proprietary logging equipment engineered for comprehensive DME access and data acquisition. Product testing completed with the dyno was the first and most extensive stage of testing using 93+ octane fuel.
Performance gains displayed in the dyno plot were achieved with the GIAC software upgrade only. Additional power increases may be observed with additional performance hardware and/or higher octane fuel.

GMG Racing 991 Turbo Exhaust System
The GMG Porsche 991 Turbo exhaust system increases overall performance, enhances the sound, and reduces weight. Handcrafted out of T304 Stainless steel and meticulously TIG welded to aerospace specifications with great precision, the system is lighter than the factory system and displays a level of quality that is unsurpassed. Weighing 37 pounds, the GMG exhaust system is 20 percent lighter than the factory system.
The system features German made 200 cell sport catalysts that are OBD2 compliant with proper 02 sensor placement to ensure no CEL (Check Engine Light) and a crossover x-pipe to increase power by balancing exhaust gas pulse coming from the engine and adds to the signature sound that only the GMG system can offer.
The crossover x-pipe works by balancing the exhaust pulses from either side — or cylinder bank – of the engine. It allows the exhaust to flow down the path of least resistance while speeding up exhaust velocity. At lower revs, turbulence is formed as exhaust gases try to shuffle past a second column of gases coming from the other side. While always producing more power than the restrictive factory system, exhaust speed is increased as the engine revs increase. The X-Pipe merges the exhaust into two uniform streams, allowing a smooth flow from engine to exhaust exit.
Stainless steel packing is used in our mufflers to withstand extreme exhaust temperatures and high intensity acoustic pressures that are generated by the turbo system that is located within very close proximity. This is one of the key advantages of the GMG exhaust system since most other exhaust systems uses fiberglass packing instead to lower costs, which are prone to rapid deterioration. The exhaust system is a direct bolt on replacement for the factory system and includes all necessary hardware.

RSW's RS2 991 Turbo / Turbo S Package includes Tubular Headers
GMG Racing 991 Turbo Sport Headers
The latest GMG Porsche 991 Turbo exhaust manifold system is handcrafted from the highest grade 321 stainless steel and features equal length tubing and large 3 into 1 merge collectors. The GMG system is designed to reduce exhaust back pressure and complements the 991 Turbo's capabilities with improved throttle response and an increase in power and torque output. Utilizing equal length tubing and large 3 into 1 merge collectors, smoother flow of exhaust gases is achieved.
GMG chose 321 stainless steel to build the 991 Turbo headers due to it's improved heat management properties over 304 stainless steel. For many high performance turbo applications, exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) can exceed 1400° F which is beyond the working temperatures of mild and 304 stainless steel. Because of its excellent resistance to fatigue and cracking at elevated temperatures, 321 stainless steel tubing is one of the most desirable materials for exhaust systems.
Stabilized with titanium, 321 is an excellent choice for most turbo applications due to the increased material strength at high temperatures. To prevent premature cracking or warping, the GMG manifolds utilize laser cut flanges and each side of the turbo flanges are meticulously TIG welded. Proper welding technique is very critical for turbo headers due to the high stresses they see when in use.
To reduce heat and to direct more exhaust energy to the turbochargers, thicker stainless tubing is used versus standard thin wall stainless. 321 stainless conducts less heat than mild steel, helping to reduce heat and to direct more exhaust energy to the turbos. The GMG Porsche 991 Turbo exhaust manifold system is designed to work with the factory turbochargers as a bolt-on replacement.
