2002 was a milestone for Mercedes and European sports car enthusiasts. The AMG SL55 equiped with the M113K could only be described as a game changer. When AMG transformed the production Mercedes 5.5L V8 into a Kompressed monster, there were not many cars left in the world that could overtake it. The factory forced induction engine lead to an entire industry of Mercedes aftermarket, an industry that has squeezed every last drop of power from the stock Kompressor.

82mm Throttle Body, Mercedes OEM
The Mercedes OEM 82mm throttle body is a bolt on option for the Weistec 3.0L supercharger resulting in increased horsepower and torque. (20+ hp on an otherwise stock car and 50+hp on a modified car).
The 82mm throttle body is a must for those looking to get as much power as possible.

Trunk Ice Tank: Supercharger Cooling
Weistec Engineering is proud to introduce the trunk mounted water tank upgrade for all M156 Supercharged, and M113 Supercharged vehicles. The use of this water tank upgrade will allow extended heat dissipation in all climates, and will also allow the user to apply ice to the intercooler system if needed to further chill the air charge temperature as it enters the intake path.
The tank also contains a large capacity ball valve drain system, that will allow the user to quickly drain hot water from the system and add ice between runs.

Dual Pass Heat Exchanger
Intercooling is very important for M113K and M275/M279 powered vehicles. The Weistec Heat Exchanger has a dual pass design, giving the fluid inside the core more time to be cooled by air as the vehicle is driven down the road.
It also has welded on mounting tabs that allow the heat exchanger to be bolted to the bottom of the bumper beam. The Weistec Heat Exchanger includes self-tapping screws for mounting. Hardware for plumbing is not included.

Intercooler Pump Upgrade
The Johnson CM-30 water pump addresses many of the short comings of the factory pump such as poor flow characteristics and pump failure. It offers 50% more flow than the factory Bosch pump and is extremely reliable.
An upgraded intercooler water pump is a highly recommended for stock and modified vehicles.

M113K Exhaust System, SL55
The biggest restriction to making high power with the M113K engine is the limited flow of the factory exhaust manifolds. Whether you want to make as much power as possible with the AMG Kompressor, or are looking to run the Weistec M113K Supercharger Systems, it will be necessary to upgrade to long tube headers.
To make for the best power possible, the headers feature 2" primaries that allow for as much flow out of the cylinder head as possible. The large primaries and proper O2 sensor placement of these headers work extremely well when coupled with our Software and Supercharger System, resulting in the best performance and drivability out of all the headers that are currently on the market.

Packaged with the headers are 3" Stainless Steel Connector pipes that need to be welded in to connect the headers to the rest of the exhaust system retaining the factory mufflers.

As the Weistec Engineering Supercharger upgrade is completed on this SL55 AMG our shop foreman takes the time to go over the entire vehicle to ensure everything is ready for road testing. Not to mention ensuring this Mercedes Benz's brake fluid is fresh, and fitting the new HRE Performance Wheels & Michelin Pilot Sport 3's!
