TiKORE & SEMA, A great combination.
The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. The SEMA Show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from more than 100 countries in the automotive, truck and SUV, powersports, and RV markets.
TiKORE visited SEMA with great success as many vehicles present were sporting TiKORE bolts and fasteners. Below is a picture of TiKORE Titanium Bolts on a RennTech Mercedes SLS AMG with Akarpovic Titanium exhaust! Not a bad combination.
Furthermore TiKORE has just introduce a new product - Titanium Fasteners for Three Piece Wheels. This new product was recently featured at SEMA. These titanium fasteners are a major weight saver for high end three piece wheels. Additionally, these bolts are 29% stronger and 45% lighter than the stainless steel fasteners that are currently being used in the industry. If you are an individual that needs the absolute best in precision titanium automotive products... then you need this upgrade.
TiKORE's Bolts Are Race Tested
TiKORE introduced its race inspired titanium lug nuts designed for Corvette. Breathless Performance Race Team tested TiKORE's titanium lug nuts with success. The race was in Sebring, FL and the TiKORE team was excited to watch Ernie at Breathless Performance bring home the win for his team. We like to think that our titanium lug nuts may have helped him cross that finish line just a few seconds faster. Please check out our products section to learn more about these industry changing lug nuts.

Comparison of Grade 5 & 8 Steel vs 7075 Aluminum vs Grade 5 Titanium
Grade 5 Alloy Steel (commonly used on automobiles for lug nut and lug bolt applications)
- Yield Strength: 92,000psi
- Ultimate Tensile Strength: 120,000psi
- Shear Strength: 72,000psi
- Density: .284 lb/in^3
Grade 8 Alloy Steel (used for lug nuts and lug bolts in high strength applications):
- Yield Strength: 130,000 psi
- Ultimate Tensile Strength: 150,000psi
- Shear Strength: 90,000psi
- Density: .284 lb/in^3
7075 Aluminum (used on various automobiles for lug nut and lug bolt applications):
- Yield Strength: 73,000psi
- Ultimate Tensile Strength: 83,000psi
- Shear Strength: 48,000psi
- Density: .102 lb/in^3
Grade 5 6AL-4V Titanium (Tikore's preferred material):
- Yield Strength: 128,000psi
- Ultimate Tensile Strength: 138,000psi
- Shear Strength: 79,800psi
- Density: .160 lb/in^3
Titanium has an extremely high resistance to corrosion.
As presented above, titanium bolts/nuts have a strength that is very comparable to grade 8 steel bolts/nuts that are used in high strength applications. Furthermore, based on the density figure above grade 5 titanium is 45% lighter than steel components.
Hardware can be custom built to any specification or application for both OEM and Aftermarket Wheels.
